Scattered upon the face of Emosa are many different types of beings, all with their own beliefs, appearances, and habits. Among these beings are humans, elves, dwarves, halflings, ogres, goblins, minotaurs, dragons, and winterpeople (called winterdemons by the Winterpeace Barbarians). Unable to settle their differences, the humans joined forces with the elves, who were like them in more ways than the others, and took over the land of Emosa.
The dwarves, furious at having been defeated, were pushed north, into the mountains, were they have resided ever since, broken and angered.
The dragons, disapointed into this futile act of the lesser races, left the world, never to be seen again. They would not be caught in the center of a fight amongst the peoples of the world.
The halflings, ogres, goblins, and minotaurs went their seperate ways, hiding out underground or anywhere else they could find until they were ready to rally against the humans.
The humans and elves, growing ever more arrogant of the world, raised their own capital city, picking and choosing leaders. They did not know of the true horror of what they had done.
The gods turned their backs on the humans and elves, disapointed. They did, however, have a plan. War would brew, a war between the races that would decide the fate of the world. Keryan, God of Corruption, raised his army of goblins and ogres, and prepared for the onslaught. Rastif, God of Warfare, called together his Minotaurs, ready to wipe of the world of the foul humans. Maslon, God of the Axe, created an army of dwarves, his chosen people, and Lyon, God of Trickery and Deceit, chose to stay neutral, and so did his halflings.
However, Standifar, God of Humanity, and Mira, Goddess of Love, chose a different strategy. Their humans and elves were in control; they had no need for an army. Instead, they chose their heroes, be they human or elf, not to lead their army, but to explore the enemy, and become champions in the war to come. These heroes have been chosen.
Who will you side with? Humanity? The Dwarves? Evil? You shape the world of Emosa.
